Allah says: “And take precaution” Surat An-Nisa (4:71)

Brothers and sisters, every single one of us has to inspect. Every one of us has to take the advice of Umar (رضي الله عنه) when he said: “Take account of yourselves before you are taken in to account for”

Take account of yourselves my beloved brothers and sisters. Who is going to take account for you if you don’t do it for yourselves? Don’t let the life of this world deceive you.

The life of this world is cursed. Everything in it is cursed. Except the remembrance of Allah.

It’s either we are going to be one of 2 things:

Slaves of Allah or Slaves of the Dunya/Shaitan

And that is why Abi Ibn Taalib (رضي الله عنه), the companion of the Prophet (ﷺ) he use to say:

“Be from the slaves of Allah and do not be not from the slaves of this world”

I swear by Allah, this world is trials and difficulties and hardships. This life is a deception. This life is very short. Just yesterday we were young and healthy, today we cannot walk properly. Just yesterday we were strong and mighty, and today we are weak and feeble. A human being has to inspect.

And do not feel as though if you’re trying to be obedient that you’re upon something that is wrong once you know you’re upon the Quraan and Sunnah.

The Prophet (ﷺ) said:

Islam began as something strange, and it will return to being something strange. Give glad tidings to the strangers. (At-Tirmidhi, Muslim)

It began as something strange with the Prophet (ﷺ) and his companions (رضي الله عنه). They were persecuted because of tawheed, but Allah placed eemaan in their hearts. And it will return to being something strange. Like now if it is that we want to practice Islam, it is something that is strange— if a person wants to study deen—it is something that is strange.

But the Prophet (ﷺ) said there are glad tidings (TUBA) for the people who are strange.

Take account of yourselves before you are taken into account for.

The Prophet (ﷺ) said:

Know that paradise is closer to you than the lace that is upon your shoe, and so is the hell fire. (Bukhari)

What is your choice? Jannah (Paradise) is there with hard work and patience, with the right aqeedah and with passing these trials upon obedience and staying away from disobedience.

What are we doing with our wives and our children? I swear by Allah you are responsible.

The Prophet (ﷺ) said:

Every single one of you is a leader and will be responsible for the people that is placed under your care. And the imaam is a leader and is responsbile for his community. And the man of the house is the imaam and is responsbile for those under his care. And the woman is responsble for her children and she will be questioned about her children. So every single one of you is responsble for your people for those that are placed under your care. (Bukhari)

My beloved brothers (and sisters), step up to the game, there isnt going to be a second chance. This is not a raffle that you pull and MAYBE you are given an opportunity. This is the real life: It’s either you are going to be from those who are successful or from those who are going to be destroyed.
