The Grand Mufti Issues An Advice to The Imaams In The Kingdom Of Saudi Arabia
We were informed on Saturday 17th December 2016 by our esteemed Shaykh Saalih Al Fawzaan may Allah preserve him during the questions and answers segment of our weekly class on Igaathatul Lahfaan, that the Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia Shaykh Abdul Aziz Aal Ashaykh advised the Imaams in the Masaajid throughout the Kingdom Of Saudi Arabia to Make Qunoot (Duaa) for the oppressed families in Aleppo, Syria.
What is Waajib Upon Us, Who Are Not In Syria?
Shaykh Fawzaan was asked this question during the class, he responded: “that which is upon us is to supplicate for our brothers and sisters in Syria”.
Is Qunoot Only For Fajr In The Masjid?
He was also asked, should Qunoot only be made for the Fajr prayer in the masaajid?
He said: “No, it could be made for all five daily prayers in the Masaajid.
Note: We the brothers and sisters and the angels are witnesses that Qunoot is being made at Jaam’ea Amir Ibn Mu’tib in the district Malaz, Riyaadh during the Magrib and Eeshaa prayers since the Shaykh made it known to the people, May Allah preserve our scholars and make them a means of guidance and beneficial knowledge to the Ummah, and a means of preventing evil in our societies throughout the world.
